Q & A
Q.How do I add a Daisypath ticker to my website?
AOn Daisypath:
Some free websites only allow you to add plain or specially formatted text, so you may not be able to add the HTML code and have it display as a graphic, again check with the support on your website.
- Click on the background image to select the background you want for your ticker.
- Click on Step 2 to take you to the next page.
- Click on the marker image you would like to use.
- Click on Step 3.
- Select your date from the date drop down and enter any text you would like to display on your ticker.
- Click on Create Ticker
- Right click in the HTML text box and choose Select All from the context menu.
- Right click again and choose Copy. You now have the HTML code snippet in your clipboard.

Q.How do I add a Anniversary ticker to my forum signature , and what is a signature anyway?
AOn many forums, once you have logged in you can go to your Preferences and in the Signature field you can enter some text which will be added to the bottom of every post you make.
Often it will say whether HTML is enabled, or Ezcode or whatever. Copy and paste your code snippet from one of the Wedding Announcement or
Anniversary pages into the Signature field and save.
Of course, there are many different forums and they all do things differently. For instance, not all forums allow you to add a signature. If you can't work out how to add a signature at all, ask the forum moderator (or Administrator) on the forum you are using.

extra bits of text displayed. How do I fix it?
AThis might be because;
- You didn't select all the code before you pasted it in. To make sure you select all the code;
Right click in the text box and choose Select All from the context menu, and then right click again and select Copy. You now have the code snippet in your clipboard ready to paste. - The code you pasted in was for a different kind of forum. Try experimenting with the different code snippets. Unfortunately, you may find that none of them work with the forum you normaly use. Ask the forum moderator (or Administrator) on the forum if you can add an image link and what is the syntax to add an image link to a forum post.
Q.The forum or website I want to use the Daisypath ticker on has a dark background and the text under the ticker doesn't show up very well.
How do I fix it?
How do I fix it?
AThe final option on the ticker pages allows you to
Select the background to either transparent; which will show up the colour behind the ticker, or white. Choose white if your ticker will be on a mid to dark colour background. The text will be clear and the Daisypath ticker will look much better.
Alternatively, if you don't want a white background and are using the ticker on a website or on a forum where HTML is enabled, you can add a style to the image tag. Eg.,
<a href="http://Daisypath.com"><img src="http://Daisypath.com/days/040801/0/0/0/ 10" alt="Wedding days" border="0" style="background:#CBEAFC" /></a>
Will put a pale blue behind a transparent Wedding days.
For a list of more colour codes, check out Web Monkey's Colour Reference chart. Try to choose a fairly pale colour to show the Anniversary ticker to best effect.

Q.Why isn't my Wedding days ticker counting down, it has been showing the same text for the last few days.
AThis generaly just means your browser is cacheing the ticker rather than getting a new copy. To force a full refresh of the page, just hold down the Shift key and click on your browser refresh button.
Alternatively, if you copy-and-pasted the image rather than using one of the code snippets, it won't update, it's the code's job to retrieve the updated image.

Q.The months, weeks and days displayed on my Wedding days are incorrect? How do I fix it?
AIt's correct, it's just that the result of calculating months, weeks and days can seem
counter-intuitive because there isn't an even number of weeks
in a month. The way it works on Daisypath is to count the number of
months, and then divide the number of days remaining into weeks and days.
For instance, using a 2nd birthday ticker for a child born on the 9th of May, 2004, and looking at the ticker on the 25th June, 2005. On the 9th of June, the child was 1 year, 1 month old. There are 16 days between the 9th of June and the 25th of June so the Wedding days will display 1 year, 1 month, 2 weeks and 2 days.
Q.I can no longer see where to set the time-zone for my Wedding days. How do I change it?
AThe timezone is now automatically detected unless you don't have Javascript enabled. So there is no need to change it.
If you don't have JavaScript enabled you will still see the timezone drop down as before.
