| A. | In some email software, like Outlook Express, you can add text and graphics to the bottom of each email by creating an HTML file and then installing it as your signature. This is not an option for all email applications and many people prefer plain text email (no text formatting, no images) because it is more secure.

| Q. | Can I have two (or more) tickers in my email signature? |
| A. | Yes, follow the instructions for Creating an HTML signature file as appropriate for your email program. The only change is to place a line break tag <br /> between the HTML code snippets, so that they sit one on top of each other rather than side by side.
For instance, for an Expecting a Baby announcement above an Anniversary announcement the HTML would look like this:

| Q. | How do I add a Daisypath Wedding Days signature to my Yahoo email? |
| A. | The free version of Yahoo mail has an option which allows you to copy and paste in HTML for use as a signature. This varies according to the browser you are using. The following is how I added it to my free Yahoo account using Internet Explorer or MSN Explorer. If this doesn't work for you, check with Yahoo support, they may have specific instructions to suit your configuration:- Go to Yahoo mail, select Mail Options
- Under Personalization, click Signature
- Check View HTML source
- Paste in your customised HTML from the Create Baby Days page.

- Check Add signature to all outgoing messages if you want the Baby due-date signature added to all your Yahoo emails.
- Click on Save and you have created your signature.
Please note, these instructions are specific to using Internet Explorer or MSN Explorer as your browser when you add your signature. Adding the signature in any of the Mozilla based browsers such as Netscape, Mozilla or Firefox did not work for me. This is not the fault of the browsers, or of Daisypath it is purely the way the Yahoo site is written.

|
| Q. | When I sent an email with a Daisypath signature to an AOL account, the email was blocked. What happened? |
| A. | There is a security setting for AOL that blocks image links such as Daisypath. To display the ticker the person you are sending the email to may need to change the security setting to allow for image links. |
|
| Q. | How do I add a Daisypath Wedding Days signature to my MSN Hotmail email? |
| A. | These instructions are using Internet Explorer or MSN Explorer as your browser.- Go to Mail
- Click on Options link (top right)
- Click on Personal Signature
- Make sure the Show Rich Text Bar checkbox is unchecked.
- Paste in the HTML code snippet you created.
- Tick the Show Rich Text Bar checkbox.
- Your ticker should now be displayed. Click OK.

|
| Q. | How do I add a Daisypath Wedding Days signature to my Incredimail email? |
| A. | It is possible to add the Baby days signature to an Incredimail signature but I have only been able to do it the following way as Incredimail doesn't allow you to use HTML in your signature. - Using Internet Explorer or MSN Explorer bring up the Daisypath ticker page you want to use.
- Select your options and click on Create Ticker.
- Right click on the Preview image and choose Copy.
- Go to new signature window in Incredimail (New Mail / Tools / Signature / Manage Signatures / New Signature)
- Right click in the text box and choose "Paste".

|
| Q. | How do I add a Daisypath Wedding Days signature to my Mozilla based email program. E.g. Firefox, Mozilla, Netscape? |
| A. | Mozilla based email clients have a special attribute in the image tag to let the program know not to try and send the signature image with the email. To add a Daisypath Wedding Days to your email, create the signature HTML as per the instructions here: Create HTML signature file. The only difference is you need to add the attribute moz-do-not-send="true" to the img tag before you save your signature file. E.g.
To install your signature file:- In your folder menu right click on your account and choose Properties.
- Tick Attach this signature.
- Click on Choose and browse to where you have saved your signature file.
- Click on Open, then OK. Your signature has been installed.
NB. Your signature will only appear as an image when you are composing your emails in HTML. If the signature is displaying as text only go to Composition & Addressing in your Account Settings and check Compose messages in HTML format. Click on OK |
|
| Q. | Why doesn't the Daisypath signature work with my webmail eg. Gmail, Comcast webmail, Wmconnect mail, MSN mail and Verizon mail? |
| A. | Many web-based email programs do not allow you to have an HTML signature like the Anniversary ticker. In this case, if you are running Windows, you can set up an email program such as Outlook Express to send and receive your email, no matter what ISP you are using. Outlook Express comes standard with all installations of Windows and your ISP will generaly have instructions in their Help section as to how to set up Outlook Express with your account.
So, far we have been unable to use the Anniversary ticker with Comcast webmail, Wmconnect mail, MSN mail and Verizon mail. Gmail does not currently allow mail to be composed in HTML but may do in the future.
Let me know if you have any success using the ticker with these programs or find other email programs that it doesn't work with.
For plain text emails tools that don't allow graphic signatures I just have a link to the image. e.g.; ---------------------------------------- Check out how old my baby is: http://lilypie.com/days/040915/0/0/+10

|
| Q. | What email programs do the Daisypath tickers not work with? |
| A. | As well as the webmail programs listed above no one has reported any success using the tickers with Eudora or any of the Mac mail programs.
Let me know if you have any success using the ticker with these programs or find other email programs that it doesn't work with. |
|
| Q. | Why isn't my Anniversary ticker counting down, it has been showing the same text for the last few days. |
| A. | If it is not updating in your email application it is because the program is cacheing the image rather than getting a new copy when you view it. People who you send an email to with the signature will still get the new image.
If you want to see the new image when you view your email you will need to work out how to refresh the image. This will depend on the email application. If it is web based you could try holding down the Shift key while your press your browser Refresh button to force a full refresh of the page. |
